Artist in Focus - Fiona Pienkowska

Fiona is Southbank Printmakers celebrated Artist in Focus until 3rd May which means you have a few more days to see an abundance of her vibrant and quirky work at the Gallery.  We have a browser-full and some excellent pictures in the window.

Fiona has a very impressive CV which includes two book covers, one CD cover, the TES, Graphics International and the Big Issue.  She exhibits widely and her work is much sought after which is unsurprising given the quality and high standards she always maintains.

I really love this seagull with its powerful wings, enigmatic beak and glittering slightly ferocious eye. It is quite a departure from her usual portraits which goes to show how versatile she is.

So if you have time, drop in to Southbank Printmakers.  From 1st May you will have and extra hour and a half to browse as we will be open till 6.30 every day except Saturday when we don't close till 8pm.
