Southbank Printmaker's Jane Lydbury was commissioned to produce illustrations for The Song of Solomon
This month sees its publication, the full title
being A Play (or Opera) founded on The
Song of Solomon by Forrest Reid.
It is published at the Reading Room Press
by Miles Wigfield, who set and printed the type and the engraving blocks. It contains six engravings by Jane which can be seen below. The external binding features
an engraving of the 1930s by Olive Openshaw.
100 copies casebound, 8” x 12”, 24 pages,
are for sale at £80 plus p&p.
