Some rather exciting news has come my way! Southbank Printmaker's very own Sally Cutler has had two of her prints (below) selected for the 3rd John Ruskin Prize; 'Recording Britain Now'
Sally works predominantly in linocut using multiblock methods to add rich colour to her hand-burnished prints. Group linocut portraits of real people attempt to
accurately record the visual appearance of communities and old, lead type,
printed by hand underneath, adds detail regarding the commerce and activities
the individuals and regions engage in.

Sally has illustrated numerous books for Quarto
Publishing and received other notable commissions from BBC Books, The Women's
Press, The Tate Gallery, Scholastic and National Magazines.
She exhibits widely including selections for The Royal
Academy Summer Exhibition and The Royal Society of Portrait Painters.
If you would like to see the show - it has two parts. The first show is at The New Art GalleryWalsall and opens on the 26th Feb and the second show is at The Electrician's
Shop, Trinity Buoy Wharf, London from the 6th May.
