A three day weekend is coming up and we hope it will be sunny and bright so that you will come down to the South Bank and visit us in the Gallery. Louise Hayward (our current Artist in Focus) and Theresa Pateman will be there on Saturday, Eileen St Julian Bown on Sunday and Martin Langford is sitting on Monday. All will welcome you warmly and will be on hand to talk to you about the prints and processes.
Talking of processes, Ann Burnham has photographed the stages involved in the making of a rather gorgeous print.
Rolling out the ink for the second colour of my new reduction linocut
The
inked up lino in the register on the bed of the press
The
second colour editions hanging up to dry.
And
the finished print called 'A Woodland Song'.
Amazing isn't it? Below are two more of Ann's very popular prints
Mon to Fri and Sunday: 11.30 to 6.30pm
Saturdays 10.00 to 8.00pm
.....................and that's not all folks! We are currently looking for new members, so if you live in the London area and would be interested in joining our cooperative please email us. Similarly, if you are looking for somewhere central to exhibit prints or works on paper, we rent out a wall and the use of a window for two weeks for £300
