Southbank Printmakers are holding a mini print competition
The exhibition will run at our gallery in Gabriel’s Wharf on
the Southbank from Saturday 4th
May to Sunday 2nd June with a PV on Saturday 4th May 2019.
Eligibility
All professional and amateur UK printmakers are invited to
submit work for this exciting exhibition. Submission Deadline: 5th April 2019.
Guidelines
• Submissions are invited from artists working in any
recognisable hand produced printmaking technique except for digital or giclée
and each artist may submit up to two different prints.
• The print image must be contained within a square area of
10cm x 10cm on a paper size no larger than 15cm x 15cm.

There is no specific theme, however as, Southbank
Printmakers Gallery is open to the general public, we reserve the right not to
display anything we deem to be unsuitable.
• Submissions that do not fall within these criteria will
not be accepted.
• All works will be prepared for exhibition by Southbank
Printmakers in a white mount measuring 20cm x 20cm and hung on the back walls
of our gallery.
• All prints must be signed, numbered and titled by the
artists, in pencil, beneath the image.
• All entries must be original and created within the last 2
years.
• The Southbank Printmakers Mini Print Exhibition is a
selling exhibition and artists are advised that total of 40% commission will be
retained by Southbank Printmakers Gallery so please set your selling prices bearing
this in mind.
• Please
send another of the same print for the browser, backed with stiff card, wrapped
in cellophane and with a label on the back with name, title, medium and price.
• All payments for sales of pieces will be made by Southbank
Printmakers Gallery to the artist after the end of the exhibition.
Submission Timetable
• Prints for submission should be sent, lying flat, in a
sturdy, reinforced envelope, with the correct postage and a stamped
self-addressed envelope to Liz Whiteman Smith, Mini print exhibition, Southbank
Printmakers Gallery, 56 Upper
Ground, Lambeth, London SE1 9PP by Friday 5th April 2019. We recommend sending and pre-paying
for return by Special Delivery which is guaranteed to arrive on both occasions.

Southbank Printmakers Gallery Consultancy take full responsibility for the
return of all unsold pieces.
• Each submitted piece must be accompanied by an official
submission form containing the following details:
Name of artist, Artist contact details with full postal
address - name of piece, printmaking technique, print edition numbers, selling
price – please see above note
• Entry fees, or details of payment if paid by cheque or PayPal (see below
for details) must be included with the submission.

• Selected artists will be informed of inclusion in the
exhibition by email by Friday 19th April 2019
• Unsold pieces will be returned lying flat in your
reinforced envelope by Southbank Printmakers Gallery, to the artist following
the end of the exhibition in June 2019.

Entry Fees
• A non-refundable entry fee of £20 for up to two different
pieces per artist.
• Please enclosed a stamped self-addressed envelope for
return of any unsold work once the exhibition is over.
• The entry fee can be paid online via PayPal at https://www.southbankprintmakers.com/competition
using your surname as reference or you can include a cheque,
made payable to Southbank Printmakers Gallery. Please do not send cash.
Editions
Please send a second piece of each edition for the browser
to enable sales. In the event of a sale, you will be contacted by Southbank
Printmakers Gallery to send a replacement piece.
Liability
Although all work will be handled, packaged and transported
with maximum care, Southbank Printmakers Gallery assume no responsibility for
any damage or loss that may occur. All work is the responsibility of the artist
at all times, so please ensure that your work is adequately insured.
Publicity
All
participating artists agree to their selected work being featured in on-line
and off-line publicity and marketing materials promoting the exhibition.

* Please remember
that Southbank Printmakers Gallery will retain a commission of 40% of the
selling price. This must be reflected in your selling price. e.g. a selling
price of £100 generates £60 for the artist and £40 for the gallery. We
recommend a minimum selling price of £50 and a maximum selling price of £300.

should be packaged lying flat, in a sturdy, reinforced envelope with the
correct postage. A same style, stamped self-addressed envelope must be included
for the return of any unsold pieces. We recommend sending and pre-paying for

Southbank Printmakers Gallery will notify successful artists of inclusion in
the exhibition by email on or before Friday 19th April 2019.
Unsold
pieces will be returned, lying flat in your envelope, using the postage
supplied by you by Southbank Printmakers Gallery, to the artist following the
end of the exhibition. Payment for any sold pieces, less the 40% commission
will be paid within one month of the exhibition closing. You will be contacted
by email for your bank details.
