50 Years of Artists Prints

I was delighted to attend a Private View at the Bankside Gallery last night where they are hosting a wonderful exhibition entitled '50 Years of Artist's Prints' organised by the Printmaking Council.  It is an amazing collection of amazing work and the exhibition runs until 29th November.

Alongside larger works there is a delightful variety of mini-prints which are to be added to the V&A archives.

As if that isn't enough to whet your appetite the PMC have also produced a book featuring the work of its 124 members 'Making an Impression'.  It is available at the Bankside Gallery and also online here

The Bankside Gallery is open daily from 11 - 6

Our Julie at the Riverside Gallery, Richmond

Julie Sullock is well known for her translucent screenprints which can normally be seen at the Gallery, but additionally, from 29th November, her work can be seen at 'Artists' Books' at the Riverside Gallery Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond TW9 1DP To coincide with the annual Richmond upon Thames Literature Festival, this open exhibition showcases contemporary artists' books - artwork in book form - from unique examples to limited editions works. It runs till 14th February and the Private View is on 1st December  6.30 - 8pm

Julie's work (left) -  is a vivacious celebration of colour in a liquid form - that you are always welcome to enjoy at the Southbank Printmakers, but if you are looking for a treat, or an outing. or an outing that is a treat, the Riverside Gallery could be on your list as well!
